Are Diarrhea, Dizziness, Abdomen Cramping And Vertigo Related?
HI, I have several symptoms which may or may ot be related. They are: - prolonged and frequent watery diarrhea (ongoing for several weeks) - intermittent back spasms - dizziness (diagnosed as Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) - faint stomach pain (like a mild cramping) *I should say that I have an underactive thyroid, but have recently had my bloodwork done to check that I am not hyperthyroid at the moment. I am currently awaiting the results from this. Thanks. Claire
Hi. Your diarrhea and cramping are likely to be related to each other, but not to your BPPV. Your GI complaints could definitely be a result of thyroid abnormalities, or a wide variety of other things ranging from food intolerance (e.g. gluten or lactose intolerant), to infection, to IBS. If you see blood in your stool, I would recommend a colonoscopy.
