Are Droxyl 500 And Neoloridin 5 Mg Advisable For Sore Throat And Fever?
I have a sore throat and feverish feeling with fatigue. I was prescribed droxyl 500 and neoloridin 5 mg, both twice a day. Somehow, I keep feeling feverish even without any visible fever on thermometer. Also a bit fatigued. Throat is showing improvement but not at its best yet and it has been 3 days since I started the medication. Could you suggest further action?
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Sore throat and fever sugest an upper respiratory infection. Most of these infections are caused by viruses and symptomatic management will be ok.However, bacteria infection or superinfection are possible and will justify the use of antibiotics.Droxyl is an antibiotic, suggesting that your Doctor had arguments in favor of a bacteria infection.Since fever is persisting, i will suggest you add an antipyretic like paracetamol to your drugs and observe. If the symptoms continue, you see your Doctor for a throat swap culture/sensitivity as the germ in cause may not be responding to Droxyl. In the meantime, you may avoid cold, gargle with warm salt water many times in a day, avoid smoke and dust. Hope my answer will help you Best regards
