Hi, My mom aged 61 is suffering from epilepsy for the past 30 years. Earlier she use to get violent fits which ranged from 5-6 mins, but after her neurologist Mr. N.R ICHAPORIA (Pune) gave her new meds the frequency as well as the intensity of fits has reduced. But lately since the last couple of weeks we can see that the frequency of fits as well as the intensity is increasing. Now she gets a fit every alternate day and sometimes 3 times a day. As we have are in Thane (Mumbai) and her neurologist is in pune, we were not able to consult him. The Medicines that she takes are as below
Frizium 5 and 10mg Mazetol SR 400 MG Venlor XR 37.5 MG Topaz 50
Note: She has been taking these medicines for the last 2 years without any change.
Please let us know if there are any better medicines introduced to combat epilepsy also can you please suggest any neurologist specialized in epilepsy in mumbai and also please let us know if any permanent cure is available.
