Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic ('water pill') commonly prescribed alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure and edema caused by various medical problems. Where as Mylanta contains aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and simethicone used to treat heartburn, stomach acidity and abdominal cramps.
