Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been taking Vytorin since 2005. My CVS mail in pharmacy sent me a generic substitue for Vytorin called EZTIM/SIMVA. I am reluctant to change since I have done really well with Vytorin. Are the two medicines exactly the same. They are both 10/40MG. Thank you!
Hi i do care for your concern. The drug vytorin is used to treat dyslipidemia (altered cholesterol levels) Both the drugs that you have mentioned has the same drug composition but the manufacturer may differ. There will be no problem with the new drug, however if you wish you can change to your old one after finishing this. Hope i have answered your question, if you have more doubt feel free to ask. Thank you.
