Are Arpizol & Bexol Effective For Schizophrenia?
hi Hi! My name is deena. Age 58height 5.'2" weight 65i was suffering from schizophrenia since january 2011. I was on medical treatment since april 2011. Medicines which i took were Arpizol 15, bexol DT, INDERAL 40, mirtaz 15. Is it healthy to continue these medicines for lifetime? please suggest?

Hi Deena,
I do not think you need to continue all these medicines for lifetime. Of these, only aripiperazole is an anti-psychotic and should be continued longer than the other medicines. The other medicines can be tapered off when they are no longer needed. Please discuss with your doctor what his plans are for your long term treatment. In some patients, even the anti-psychotic need not be continued for a lifetime.
