Hi, I have been told I may have Pulmonary Hypertension. What information can you tell me about this health problem? My symptoms are:- out of breath, especially on exertion of any kind; fatigue, especially after work, just need to go to bed and not able to do anything; swollen feet and ankles; have severe chest and back pain; lack of appetite, I have lost 4 stones; feeling of dizziness, mainly after exertion. I have been told that I require lots of tests. Thank you for your help with this.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Yes, these symptoms can involve pulmonary hypertension. I would suggest to get investigated and exclude or diagnose the cause followed by an early treatment. It would help in early recovery. Please consult a heart specialist for direct physical examination and needful investigations followed by needful suitable treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
