Cannot say in his particular case. This is not a dangerous does in general but, then again, I ve never heard of anyone smoking exhedrin. At the least, it is likely to be a serious lung irritant and the chest pain can be from that and would require emergency evaluation. At the worst, aspirin overdose causes fever, metabolic problems, and fatal acidosis. These would give as the first symptom of change in breathing, fever/feeling hot, and likely sleepiness or confusion. These are both reasons to go to the hospital.
