Are Delayed Contraceptive Pills Effective In Preventing Pregnancy?

hello i really hope you can help me! I am on the cerrele pill and i always set an alarm to remember to take it because i know it has a very small gap to miss having it. however i am panicking. I had sex on the 20th of this month and i missed my pill i should have taken at 10pm last night i took it at around 11-12 today and i am worried i could get pregnant from this.

Contraceptive pills like cerrele pill work by preventing release of egg(ovulation) in females. They should be taken once daily at same time to be totally effective. Missing your tablet by a day can cause pregnancy by release of egg. However this is uncommon after missing a single pill & normally occur when you miss more pills.
As you have missed a pill, You should not try to take rest pills as scheduled. This will minimize the risk of getting pregnant.
