Are Fast Heartbeat And Trembling Hands Side Effects Of Bro-Zedex Cough Syrup?
Every time I take brozedex cough syrup (prescribed by Doctor) I get sinking feeling , fast heartbeat , my hands are shaking too. Why? I was travelled to a hill station a week back and there my left ear got blocked. I feel as if somethings is swollen inside. Doctor checked and said ear drum is fine but some tube is blocked , this could be due to prolonged cold , cough.
Suggestive of side effects of Bro-Zedex syrup. Bro-Zedex Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Bromhexine, Guaifenesin, Menthol and Terbutaline commonly prescribed for the treatment of symptoms like cough with sputum and difficulty in breathing associated with respiratory tract infections. Terbutaline is known to cause increased heart beats, palpitation, sweating and tremors. I advise you to stop taking this medication and consult your treating doctor for an alternate effective but a safer medication.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
