Are Fatigue And Headaches Due To The Inhalation Of Natural Gas?
The gas company just discovered two different natural gas leaks right outside/below my bedroom. I ve had vague, non specific symptoms of overwhelming fatigue, vertigo, visual issues, trouble sleeping, headaches, nausea for approx. the last 3 months. Could this be natural gas poisoning. If leak was fixed today, should I be feeling better? And is there any way to test for exposure to natural gas?
The symptoms you are experiencing are very particular to the natural gas poisoning. You should definitely feel better after removal of the source of the leakage. However, you have been chronically exposed to the gas. So there are chances of long term health effects which should be looked after.
I would advise you to visit a physician. He/she will prescribe you a blood test indicating level of natural gas in your blood and based on that, management of the symptoms and prevention of future complications can be advised.
I hope this information is helpful to you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Take care.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
