Are Frequent Passing Of Black Stools With Mucus And Pain In Lower Abdomen A Cause For Concern?

Should I be hospitalized. I have been passing mucus, black, and unusual stool for over 7 days now. I have mild to severe pain in the right mid to lower abdomen, and pain in the right back shoulder blade area. It seems I have used the potty at least 15 times this day. Jason
