Are Growth Hormones Advisable For A Healthy Child With Short Stature?
Hi Dr. , would it be risky to give growth hormones to an healthy child who seems to be growing slower than the average, or who is expected to have a short stature? Can it lead to gigantism over the years, or other diseases like diabetes, cancers ...?
Growth hormone intake always carries some adverse effects like some of the things you have mentioned. But if is given with good monitoring and adjustment of doses, it should help in achieving good growth.
