Are Having Cough, Congestion And Headaches Suggestive Of Pleurisy?

I have the symptoms of Pleurisy for about 3 weeks. I had flu/cold/virus symptoms about a month ago which lasted 3 weeks, symptoms where coughing up flem from my chest continuesly and having cold sweats a high tempature, chills, headaches. After the coughing I still fill like ther is fluid in my chest on the right side right under my chest in a 5 x 8 inch area. For over 3 weeks the pain has been constant while breathing, clearing the throat, sitting, standing, laying. It fills ass though I was hit buy a linebacker and my ribs and inside from the rib right under the under arm pit all the way to the most lower rib.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You should consider imaging of the chest to get an idea of what is going on. Use of an anti-inflammatory pain killer may help with pain relief eg naproxen, ibuprofen, Cataflam, Celebrex.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
