Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Are Headaches And Blurred Vision Symptoms Of A Concussion?
I was hit in the face and punched in the side of the head. The face punches left only a small scratch and bruise mark near my left eye. The punches to my forehead left no marks and don t hurt much. Because it didnt initially hurt, I forgot to tell ambulance and police that I was also punched in the left side of my head several times above my ear as well. Now the left side head hurts very much and has a lump at least 3 inches in diameter and during last 45 minutes or so, my vision has gotten blurry several times and then gone back to normal. Can this be a concussion? Do I need to go to the hospital or is it something that can wait until morning? Thank you in advance for your time
After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that you need to get an NCCT head done so any swelling or hematoma can be ruled out and treated accordingly.
Hopefully this information will guide you properly.
Kind Regards Dr Bhanu Partap
