Are Heart Problems Associated With Severe Back Pain?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? I have been experiencing back pain in the upper left shoulder blade for 2 weeks, pain is now traveling down my left arm and arm is pulsating. I am thinking the pain in from a new workout i started 2 weeks ago (kettle ball) but want to make sure I am not having a heart attach. I have a chiropractic appt tomorrow to work out kinks in back.

Hi, thank you for posting.

I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.

I think that the pain is related to physical exercises, and it's not caused by heart problems.
However if you experience this pain for a long period time you should go to the hospital for some tests.

The tests you need are:
1. Electrocardiogram.
2. Vertebral column X-ray.
3. Fibrinogen test.
4. Complete blood count.
5. Urine test.

Ask me for anything unclear.

Wish you good health.
Dr. Behar.
