Are Injections Necessary To Regulate Low PSA Levels?
I have had radium treatment for prostrate cancer which reduced my PSA to 0 and now after 5 years my PSA has slowly risen to 2.5 and I have two doctors wanting to give me an injection of triptorelin 22.5mg and a course of Cosudex tablets as well. I feel this is excessive treatment
There is definitely recurrence and proper treatment has to be continued. Continue triptorellin as advised by your physician. Nothing much to worry and your treatment is in the right track.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
