Are Low Temperature, Loss Of Appetite And Weight Loss Symptoms Related To Vaginal Infection ?

My temperature has been low for over 24 hours (avg. 97.6). I have little or no appetite and have lost 5 pounds since last Thursday. I was diagnosed two weeks ago with a vaginal infection and treated with clindamycin and just today started penicillin because the culture came back showing coli in it, but the doctor treating me for the vaginal infection said the other symptoms are not related. I am concerned about the weight loss, loss of appetite and over all feeling like something is terribly wrong.

Hi,

Welcome to healthcaremagic.

I read your query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) Vaginal infection per se does not cause such weight loss or other symptoms.

2) Please see a physician for diagnosis of the other symptoms
