Are Metabolic Changes And Arachnoiditis Related As I Had Gastric Bypass A Year After Back Surgery?

hello, I had a gastric bypass a yr after having back surgery, now please tell me by having this gastric that i now have metabolic changes & this caused my arachnoiditis in my back. I don t see the connection please explain & let me know if this doesn t even have anything to do with the other. thank you

Hello,

The metabolic changes after the year ending of surgery are highly unlikely in relation to the surgery.

Possibly related to the inflammatory process of microscopic level involving the prostaglandins and other mediators as interleukins as well.

A thorough case evaluation with history, physical examination, current medication list and battery of evaluation would be serving in best directional approach to the concern of the case.
