Are Multiple Small Cysts In The Below Ultrasound Report Suggestive Of PCOD?
Hi, I had 2 missed abortion last year. Today I did ultrasound scan of abdomen pelvis to rule out pcod.According to scan report right ovary 3.5*2.4*2.2cms(10.1ml), left ovary 3.6*2.7*2.2cms(11.7ml) multiple small cysts with thick central stroma noted in both ovaries.I have normal regular menstrual cycle.please clear that am I suffering from pcod?
Your ultrasound report indicates that the ovarian size is normal as 10-15 ml is considered normal. The ovarian size usually increases in PCOD. However, it does show presence of small cysts in both ovaries. You have normal menstrual cycles, too. This indicates that you do not have all the signs of PCOD and so not all the symptoms of PCOD, but cysts may need medicinal treatment for some months.
I would advise you to visit a gynecologist. You may have blood reports too showing hormone levels in blood or you might have to go for blood test now. Combining this USG and blood reports, the gynecologist will prescribe you hormonal medicines to treat the cysts.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Take care.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
