Are My SGOT, SGPT And HDL Levels Cause For Concern?

SGOT(AST) reading 48, SGPT(ALT) reading 56, I am 63 years old, drink three beers a day maybe more on the weekend, my HDL reading is 64.6, I take no medications, I smoke one-half a pack of cigarrettes a day, all other blood work readings are in normal ranges, anything to be worried about?

Brief answer: Yes,need to be bit concerned.
Detailed answer:The liver function test(ALT,AST) levels on the higher side,may denote an underlying liver pathology like alcohol induced hepatitis,pancreatitis etc.
If i am your physician,would advise you to get rid of alcohol and smoking which could be the causes for deranged liver function report.However HDL level is normal.Get evaluated by a local doctor if you have jaundice,abdominal pain like symptoms.Hope i have answered your query.If any further questions,happy to answer you.Take care.
