Are Numbness In The Arm With Nausea Related To Heart Issues?

I had some numbness in right arm through the night, but woke up with a slight nausea that intensified as the day went on along with some tingling in both arms. Eventually both symptoms subsided, but have me a little nervous. Are these possible symptoms of heart problems. I have high cholesterol but work out and I am not overweight. I am on a low dose statin, that I sometimes forget to take.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is understandable to be concerned but in most cases, heart related disease would be accompanied by chest pain, shortness of breath and palpitations.

If you did not experience any of these issues then it is unlikely that there is a problem related to the heart.

Tingling can be due to nerve disease which is often temporary.
Some of the causes include vitamin b12 and folate deficiency, diabetes, trauma, liver and kidney disease, idiopathic (cause not known).

If the symptoms continue then you can see your doctor for assessment.

I hope this helps
