I am 35yrs old and 34 weeks pregnant. I have been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes and have been regularly checking my sugars. My Doc has suggested that i check my sugar levels after every meal (2hrs post meal).
All readings are less than 140, however the post dinner readings are 129, 135, and 127. Are these levels ok?
Dear madam i can understand your concern in my opinion as per latest american diabetes association guidelines in treating gestational diabetes the post meal blood sugar should be around 120 and below to say it as a good control. i suggest you to follow diet modification for this take opinion of dietitian. better sugar control is very important for better outcomes in pregnancy. insulin is the best treatment in gestational diabetes. consider speaking with your doctor regarding this issue. regards Dr vamsi Diabetologist
