Are Severe Headaches And Pain In Neck Post Nose Injury A Cause For Concern?

I broke my nose playing softball last Tuesday. I have started to have horrible headaches that are right behind my eyes. These headaches are accompanied by pain in my neck. I have taken two Vicodin and 4 Alleve to try and get through the day at work, but nothing is helping. The ENT I saw yesterday just said that these headaches are from the trauma I suffered, but they are getting worse. I have an appointment with my regular doctor tomorrow, but is this something that I should be worried about?

Hello,

Trauma to head and neck area should be followed by CT head in order to rule out any injury. I suggest you to consult your neurologist for clinical assessment, investigations and thus management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
