Are Severe Weight Loss, Sunken Eyes And Facial Sores Signs Of Drug Abuse?

I m worried my friend is using Crystal Meth. She has lots huge amounts of weight. Has massively aged, with sunken eyes, facial sores and white spots (?) visible on upper body. She is not sleeping or eating and is convinced her home has been taken over by bees. Do you think my suspicion is correct before I take the appropriate measures?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to HCM...

Its good that you are caring for your friend...

Here you should consult him to nearby physician for complete examination with liver and spleen plus lymph node palpation....

Detail history and complete examination will guide for further work up....

You might right ...The cause can be drug abuse....
But further suspician should also ruled out like chronic TB like infection or HIV...

He might be investigated with.....
-CBC with PS
-Chest x ray
-CRP
-ELISA for HIV etc....

Take care

Advise : physician consultation
