Hi, I am 56 years old, female. My tonsils were removed when I was 19 years old with severe bleeding. However I very rarely suffer any throat infections. During a dentist check up the other day the dentist asked me if I suffered lost of throat infections. I replied no, very rarely. As well as he did, I discovered 3 small growth on one of my tonsil space or cavity. They are a bit smaller than a pea, red like the color of my throat itself, oval to round in shape. They don t cause me any discomfort what so ever. I touched one with a cotton bud and it seems rather hard in nature. He ( the dentist) thought they may be filled with pus. Should I be concerned? the dentist suggested I should see a doctor about it but I haven t yet.
