**
1. because you exchanged sex for money, even though it was protected, still because history of your sex partner is unknown, it is wise to get yourself tested for HIV [since showing symptoms of infection].
2. since there is a 'window period' i.e for the test to become positive, thus if the initial test comes negative [within 3 months] repeat testing should be considered after 3 months, since it can take up to 6 months to develop
antibodies to HIV
PS. for more information on HIV testing, you can talk to your health care provider or you can find the location of the HIV testing site nearest to you.
3. Remember that if you have a reason to be concerned about HIV infection or have symptoms of
early HIV infection, you should let your Doctor know so that you can be tested with an HIV
viral load test that can detect HIV earlier.
PS. HIV is the virus that leads to
AIDS. A person is said to have AIDS when his or her CD4 count drops below 200. A person can have HIV for years without having AIDS. Having HIV does not mean you have AIDS.
4. good luck with your Tests, hopefully everything will turn up Right.
