Are Spotting And Occasional Nausea Suggestive Of Early Pregnancy?
I had a few days of spotting and have felt nausea at times however I took a home pregnancy test and it was negative...I have irregular periods so I m not sure whether I ve missed a period yet. Could I be pregnant and the test is not picking it up as the hcg levels are too low?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Based on the description, it appears that your periods are irregular with intermittent spotting, which may not state that you are pregnant. Moreover, if the hCG levels are low, it states that you have not conceived. Hence, you need to undergo ultrasound scan and consult Gynecologist with the report for proper clinical evaluation and appropriate management. One of the common cause for such type of symptoms which you are experiencing could be polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD). Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
