Are Swelling And Pain In Hand Normal After IV?

i have pain in my hand after iv treatment which I had 5 days ago. i had nacl and phenytoin as my iv treatment. my hand is still sore and bit swollen. Is this normal to have this pain. I saw some articles online from people who also experienced problems after Iv and most of the time was mentioned that it can takes up to a month to go down.I also take aspirin on daily basis to thin my blood after stroke in 2009.
Do i need to see my doctor about this (sore hand and bit swollen)?
