Are There Any Oral Antibiotics For Conjunctivitis?

24yrs.5'8.60kg.i am short sighted so i hav worn glasses since i was 13.i hav conjunctivitis.today is d 2nd day.can i stil wear glasses now or do i hav to wait until d infection clears. R there any oral antibiotics i can take instead of d chloramphenicol eye drops i am takin now

Hello,

Yes, you can continue to wear your glasses even during a bout of conjunctivitis. Chloramphenicol eye drops are better than oral antibiotic as the oral medicines do not reach the conjunctiva in the desired levels. Continue with the treatment prescribed by your doctor.
