Can I take Nortrel continuously with no risk? How long after I stop active pills will my period start? I've only been on birth control for a month. I decided not to take the inactive pills because I want to be as protected as possible. Does taking or not taking inactive pills increase my chances of getting pregnant? I've never had a normal cycle, so I'm worried it won't start as soon as I stop the active pills. Can I just wait until I start having my period to take the placebos?

Hello
OCP's are relatively safe and effective methods of contraception, You can take as long as you need, regular check ups required to assess your health. Usually your fertility returns to normal immediately stopping pills, just in a or 2 months. Inactive pills are basically supplements, to make sure person won't forget to take pills regularly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
