Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have taken valium and xanex over the years during different bad times in my life. I am 56 and am going thru another of the bad times but have found that getting the meds r near impossible. What do I need to do to acquire the meds I need without resorting to the street. Please help and advise me
The best thing for you would be to see a doctor and discuss the problems that necessitate the use of benzodiazepines like Valium and Xanax. I guess that you have anxiety during stressful times which manage with either Valium or Xanax. If the doctor does not prescribe you a benzodiazepine, he will surely advise some other anxiolytic like an SSRI (Zoloft, Paxil etc) which may be safer for you. If you assure the doctor that you will need the medicine only for a short term, he is likely to agree to prescribing a benzodiazepine. It will be better to go to a doctor who knows you well.
Best wishes.
