Are There Breast Abscess Recurrence Chances During Second Delivery?

hi, ny name is smitha, am pregnant now, am 32yrs old and this is my 2nd baby..I had suffered breast abscess after my first delivery. My query is is there any chance of recurrence of this in my 2nd delivery? Do i need to take any precautions? Please advise.

I understand your concerns
It is quite difficult to predict if you will have a breast abscess or not. The fact that you have had it does not put you at an increase risk of having it again. However, if measures are taken early enough, it would not progress to abscess formation.
If you start feeling pain on one breast, complaint early enough so that it can easily be managed with antibiotics.
