Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Are Two Different Types Of Antibiotics Advisable Post Breast Biopsy?
My doctor gave me two different kinds of antibiotics after I had a breast biopsy. I didn t realize they were both antibiotics until I had already had them filled. He doesn t open until tomorrow. Will it be safe for me to take both pills together? Thank you.
Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.
You have not provided the names of the antibiotics to be compared for interactions. Yes it is possibly given to patients sometimes. There is no harm in that if given logically, and your physician must have given you these antibiotics with logical diagnosis.
I can't comment on the safety of taking them together as I dont have the names of both and also I don't have the biopsy report in hand.
Hope I answered all of your queries. Any concerns feel free to contact me. If satisfied, please give a five star rating and don't forget to close the discussion.
Have a wonderful time ahead.
Best Regards!
