Are Wounds On Head With Peeling Skin Due To Scratching, Oozing Yellow Liquid Due To Lack Of Hygeine?

I don t like to wash my hair and i always scratch my head very hard.Recently i have realised that i have something like a wound on my hair scalp.I like to peel the skin of the wound out.Nowdays there are yellow liquids coming out and when it comes in contact with water,it will be painful. When i feel that there is a skin on my head,i will peel it put and causing the scalp to have a hole.I used to have it before like this when i was young but not as worse as this time.ignored it and it recover by itself. Can i know why and how can i recover my scalp?

Dermatologist 's  Response
hello

It seems you have developed infection due to lack of hygiene and due to the habit of constant scratching. Therefore you need to start a course of antibiotics(penicillin or cephalosporin group), and get your head clean every day, if possible.

It will take 7 to 10 days to heal completely.

Thanks,
Dr. Jyoti Gupta
