Are You Aware Of Hoarseness Being Associated With Heart Disease?
Are you aware of hoarseness being associated with heart disease? I had stent put in my lad artery about 7 years ago and I seem to be hoarse a fair amount. Perhaps it s just overuse, or abuse as a kid, but I thought I had read something to that effect .
Thanks for the interesting query. the only relationship that I have heard between heart disease and hoarseness is due to the damage of the recurrent laryngeal nerve, that controls vocal cords, either by enlargement and compression by the upper heart chamber (called Ortner's syndrome), or damage by an open heart surgeon, but no, not with stents.
Hope that helps wish you the best,
