As I Have Bitten My Tongue While Sleeping Now Its Color Has Changed To Purple And My Eyes Into Red. What Might Be The Problem ?
i must have bitten my tongue during sleep last nite,now is purple and a little bit of the whites of my eyes are red what do i do,thankspaul hello,ima 64yo male in good shape but last nite while sleeping i must have bit the side of my tongue.it hurts today abd is somewhat purple and a little bit of redness of the whites of both eyes.is this due to trauma and should i put ice on it,thanks,paul

This mostly is due to any fit like movement in the night.Do you remember any events that happened last night ? Where did you wake up ? Were you under alcohol influence ? Was there something abnormal in your place you found in the morning ?
When you have a fit or seizure , you bite your tongue and also there can be conjuctival bleeding(redness in your eye).
There is nothing you need to do for the injuries or bleed in eye.they will subside soon.
You should visit neurologist and get evaluated.An EEG is essential to know if there was seizure and if any seizure activity.
My discussion may sound weird as you don’t remember any events , but , believe me , you have to be on safe side and rule out seizure.
