As Per Ultrasound, B/L Ovaries Shows PCOD Pattern. Problem For Pregnancy In Future?
Hi Doctor, I am a married lady of 30 years of age and just got my ultrasound done which states that B/L Ovaries shows PCOD pattern i.e. mildly bulky in size and shows multiple small follicles arraged at the periphery with increased stromal echogenecity.
Right Ovary- 3.0*2.4*2.0=7.8cc
Left Ovary-3.28*2.8*1.8=8.5cc
I need to know is this an alarming situation , will this create problems for me to conceive in future?
What can be the possible repurcussions? I am 5.4 and weigh around 67.
Please let me know your valued opinion, will be grateful.
PCOD is a common problem nowadays, being faced by many women. It can present with irregular periods, anovulation, insulin resistance etc. Untreated PCOD can affect the fertility. But if diagnosed early and treated properly it can be cured and may not affect the pregnancy. The ideal weight for your height is around 60kgs. So try to decrease the weight that will help in treating the PCOD also. For more details you can ask me through: http://www.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-sree-gouri-sr/63429 Take care.
