Dear member,
Thanks for writing to healthcare magic.
The ultrasound at 5 weeks may not always show a fetus with heart beat.was there a yolk sac??
Usually by 6 weeks most fetus show cardiac activity on ultrasound.
Please mention whether you underwent trans vaginal ultrasound. If ultrasound was done by abdominal method then you may have to wait longer to confirm.
In my practice I have seen on many occasions that a fetus with good heart beat will be seen later.
Please write back with reports.
I can understand your anxiety considering she has undergone miscarriages earlier.
Thanks.
Dr Bhagyashree.
