BP Issue, Have Forgetfulness. Taking Atenolol, Lasix, Adderall And Synthroid. What Is Going On?

I am 49 yrs old and I take Atenolol with a lasix for BP and synthroid .125. I have always worked in a fast pace job and have been the queen of multi tasking. this year has been very difficult as I forget names, find it difficult to remember things, and cannot multi task like i once could. A lot of that can be attributed to changes at work, but my attention span is about the size of a knat these days. I forget stuff people tell me because I cannot listen for very long before my mind is on to other things. My Dr. recently put me on Adderall. I was hesitant to take it but figured my quality of life is decreasing. I have been taking it a little over a week and have not noticed much difference. I think just a little clearer but that is it. I have also not had a rapid heart rate (thank goodness) and the only thing I have noticed is that my heart rate slows down when I am dehydrated. My main question is Adderrall worth the supposed risks everyone is talking about? I mean in the literature it even talks about sudden death!

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Adderall is used for attention deficit disorder and narcolepsy (this is a sleep disorder). It is thought to be highly effective in treating these conditions.

Memory loss and and inability to multitask can also be related to other conditions such as dementia or depression. You may want to consider asking your doctor to screen you for these conditions.
In addition there are some organic conditions such as abnormal levels of some electrolytes and lesions within the brain that can potentially cause problems.
All of these need to be ruled out.

I hope this helps
