Baby Having Loose Motions. Given Ors, Ofloxacin, Ornidazole Based Solution And Bactrim. Not Cured
hi my 7 and half month baby suffering from loose motions 6-7 times per day. the stool is semi solid. the pediatrician given ors and ofloxacin and ornidazole based solution normed and given bactrim. but the recovery of loose motion yet to come. Though the child is seeming very joyful and looking laughiting though health is not currenthy good.
Antibiotics may not be required in most of the loose motions. They are required in dysentry when the stool is associated with blood mucus and fever.
Majority of diarrhea are caused by viruses. They take their own time to recover. In the mean while one should maintain the hydration of the child by giving ORS or any fluid that contains sugar and salt.
