I injured my back 2 months ago I have an MRI last week set at l5-s1 left paracentral disc protrusion producing severe left lateral recess narrowing with posterior displacement of the descending left s1 nerve root mild bilateral neural foraminal narrowing. what is the best solution I have a lot of hip pain pain that shoots down the back of my left leg and again above my left ankle on the outside sometimes pain rolls around to my left testicle
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The shooting pain in the leg is due to the disc protrusion which is causing a nerve root compression. You need to have pain killers along with muscle relaxants for relief. Regular physiotherapy exercises will help in long term. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
