Back Injury Due To Fall, Shooting Pain In Stomach. Tried Ice, Massage. Have I Broken Something?
i am 43 years old 5 5 and 115 pounds, i slipped on coming down wooden steps, and came down hard on my left upper side back, i am getting shooting pain at times going down into the front and back stomach area too. I am breathing ok but it does hurt when i do that, i did an ice massage and took advil . Could i have broken anything? I am going out of town in a few days and am worried

With the available described symptoms , there appears to be possibility of soft tissue injury; although chances of fracture must be ruled out.
Fracture at any where in body is very painful and associated with hampered activity.
You should consult with orthopedic surgeon and should go for thorough check up.
You should also go for x ray of affected site.
Fracture can be detected by simple x ray very well.
Meanwhile, you can take analgesics along with muscle relaxants.
