Been Taking Quarterly Reports For Lipid Profile Since CABG. Tests Show Increase In Creatinine. Reason?
I underwent a cabg in April 2010 ..since then I have been taking quarterly reports for lipid profile and HbAIc and all reports are always under normal parameters.my creatine has gone to 2 ...what is he reason my weight is 61 kgs anfd height is 175 coms and exercise regime is regular...what could be the reason of my creatine rising..pl advise

Are you suffering from diabetes or raised blood pressure?
Diabetes and high blood pressure are two most common cause worldwide for renal derangement.
Raised serum creatinine indicates renal dysfunction.
You should consult with internal medicine specialist/ nephrologist and should go for thorough check up.
You should go for complete hemogram, renal function test, serum electrolytes and ultrasound imaging abdomen.
Kidney size below 8.5 cm indicates contracted kidney and suggests chronic kidney disease.
Although kidney size may be more than > 8.5 cm in case of chronic kidney disease.
Loss of cortico-medullary differentiation is important in CKD.
Treatment depends on diagnosed disease; whether chronic kidney disease or acute renal failure.
