Bit By Cat. Had Minimal Bleeding. Cleaned With Hydrogen Peroxide, Betadine. Covered With Silver Sulfadiazine. What Else Should Be Done?
I was bit by a cat today, one that I know is - for rabies. There are deep puncture wounds all along my L 5th finger as well, I suspect, as some significant crush wounds underneath. There has been minimal bleeding, and I immediately flushed the wound, followed by cleaning with hydrogen peroxide and betadine. Covered the wound with silver sulfadiazine ans a light compress. Is there anything else I should be doing, and what signs of infection should I be looking out for?
Hi bit by cat can be treated as rabies .take tetanus toxide injection .followed by antirabies vavcination.then take broad spectrum antibiotic twice daily for five to seven days depanding on severity of infection.and apply topical antibiotic twice daily over the lesions.take a painkiller to relieve from pain.
