Bitten By House Dog. History Of Taking Anti Tetanus And Anti Rabies Two Shots. Should Another Animal Shot Be Taken?

HI..Good day I'm from the Phils..my nanny got bitten by our house dog in her feet and do the first aid thing wash with soap..but sometime middle of this year she was bitten by a cat and got her anti-tetanus shot and anti-rabies shot but not finished the 3rd shot..do we need to bring her to a doctor for another animal shots?

Hi,
Thanks for asking query on health care magic.
Anti rabic shots will be given whether bitten by cat or dog.
One should receive minimum 5 shots on day 0, 3, 7, 14 and 30th days.
If you complete these shots, you need not give any more shots for another animal bite.
If not you have to take 5 shots for the cat bite also.
