Bitten By Stray Dog. Taken Rabies Vaccination. Will I Be Normal?

Hi, today while going to office around 9:50 am in the morning one of the stray dogs one teeth just bitten and the wound is also very minimal but blood came a bit and immediately i went to a hospital and have taken rabies vaccine i.e.RABIPUR and doctor suggested to take another 4 injection .so after taking the injection i will be alright?

Since stray dogs will not be vaccinated it is advisable to get vaccinated after dog bite and complete the course.This will avoid future complications like hydrophobia(fear of water) which is commonly seen after many years.Caution must be take when the bite is deep which will involve oozing of blood where the chances of transmission of virus is high(in case the dog is rabid).Take care.Hope this anwers your query.
