Blockage In Ears, Dull Hearing, Ringing In Ears. Worried
Last November 2012 i recently had a lot of blockage in both my ears. It started in the right then moved to the left a couple of weeks after. I had dulled hearing by this. A week ago after the blockage sort of cleared away i started to get ringing in my ears. I have been told that this could be due to inflammation and that this should almost if not 100% disappear, is this correct as i am getting a bit worried as i have had it for a week now. Can you please help

I have gone through your query regarding your ear blockade and ringing sound along with diminished hearing,from one ear to other indicates that you are having Eustachian tube (tubular connection between ear and throat) dysfunction leading to negative pressure in middle ear which you felt as ear blockade or heaviness in ear.
As for as treatment is concern you can take any brad spectrum antibiotic along with anti inflammatory and anti allergic. you take steam inhalation as apart of treatment. I hope b this your problem will solve in a weeks time ,but if you feel not enough improvement by this treatment than physical examination becomes necessary by an E.N.T.specialist to plan for treatment.
