Dear Mr. Amit, all your tests are normal. Its just that you haven't mentioned the Total Leukocyte count. All these are the parameters of your blood counts, which tells us about the levels of various components of the blood.
Hemoglobin is the
oxygen carrying protein of the red blood cells, it has iron in it and carries oxygen from lungs to all parts of body.
White blood cells, Red blood cells and platelets are the 3 main types of cells in the blood and they all have different functions.
RBC count is the concentration of red blood cells/corpuscles in the blood. they carry hemoglobin.
Total Leukocyte count is the concentration of White blood cells in the blood. White blood cells are the cells responsible for fighting infections in the body. Neutrophils, Lymphocytes, Eosinophils, Monocytes are different types of white blood cells in the circulation. The percentage of different types of these cells help in determining various types of infections/allergic processes and certain blood cancers also.
Platelets count tells us the concentration of platelets in the blood. Platelets are the cells of blood which help in clot formation in case of any leakage of blood from the circulation. If the platelets are low, it would impair clot formation and excessive bleeding may occur.
PCV is the packed cell volume which denotes the percentage of red blood cells in the blood (in terms of volume). It value helps in determining various diseases and also in monitoring the progress of disease or treatment monitoring.
MCV is
mean corpuscular volume which is a measure of the average volume of a red blood cell in the circulation. It tells us about the cause of various types of
anemia.
MCH is mean corpuscular hemoglobin which denotes the average mass of hemoglobin in each red cell. It again helps in determining the type of anemia.
MCHC is
mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration which is a measure of the hemoglobin concentration one
unit volumes of packed cells, and it is also an indicator of the type of anemia.
