Blood Test Done, Shows PCOS, High Triglyceride Levels. Weight Loss Due To Controlled Diet. Will Insulin Resistance Help Lower Triglyceride's?
Hi, I had blood tests a few months ago saying I had pcos and my triglycerides were on the high end of normal. They told me treating pcos and the insulin resistance would help lower the triglycerides. I now eat as if I were diabetic and have cut out mountain dew and cut back on all soda . To date I have Los about 10 pounds. Am I in the right track for lowering my triglycerides?
hello kendra.. yes you are on the right track... sodas and drinks are all simple sugars which can increase triglyceride levels..you can also start with brisk walks daily for 1 hour, eat high fiber foods like fruits, nuts, salads, oats, jowar etc..avoid refined and processed foods like pizzas and burgers to prevent Triglyceride hike again.. drink plenty of water and rest well
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Yes, dietary restrictions and regular exercise are the main ways by which you can decrease your raised triglyceride levels to normal and reduce the polycystic appearance of your ovaries. In addition to this, medicines can also help you.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
